I must say, my life to date has been rather interesting. Has it been easy? No. Has it been challenging? Definitely, but whose isn't right? Despite the lows however there have been some rather exciting and rewarding moments and I feel blessed to have been able to enjoy these experiences. Even the not so good ones served as great character building opportunities.
I am a go getter and my personality can sometime be larger than life. For some of you, that may sound like a good or a bad thing. Nevertheless, I make it my daily mantra to live in my truth and the only person I know who to be is me.
It is because of this bold and fearless attitude why my bio touches on so many different industries and interests. As a former Miss Antigua Universe and Miss World Finalist I found myself travelling the world and meeting interesting people. I have worked at the United Nations covering international law and human rights matters; My love for music and singing led to an album release in 2009 and a National Award from my country all while working in the Travel/Tourism Marketing and Communications industry, which I have been doing for the last 15 years. You may even find my face on the cover packaging of one of your favorite hair products.
Today, I am still searching and evolving and trying to find my place in the world. With two young daughters, the journey is tiring and sometimes overwhelming, but nothing gives me more joy than feeling their warm, tight hugs and wet kisses. I live for them! I want to be the best person, woman and mommy I can possibly be so that they can also feel that the sky is the limit. Shoot, I want them to know that if Trump can be President they can be ANYTHING!!! (sorry Trump lovers, but I just couldn't resist!)
I created 4MomsLikeMe because I was seeking an outlet where I could be open and honest about the huge responsibility it is to raise children, particularly in today's world. I also wanted to be able to inpsire other moms and also to be inspired. Gone are the days when society told us that becoming a mother meant that your life was forever over, that you no longer mattered. The truth is the only way you can be a great mom is by being your best self and the only way to do that is through committed self-care. We have to continue to love ourselves, even as mothers by ensuring that there is balance and time for self. It may be easier said than done and we may think there is no way, we can possibly carve out time for anything else other than taking care of others, but that is far from the truth.
Through 4MomsLikeMe we can share thoughts and ideas for grooming our better selves. Everyday will not be perfect. There will be bad days, but If you do not take anything away from this blog experience, I want you to remember this...that's ok too. No one said, that being a mom meant that you had to be perfect. You can be a mess and still be a good mom.

Meet My Girls
Mommy life is exciting as well as overwhelming. I juggle a million things a day. Sometimes I feel like I can't keep up. Motherhood is not glamorous by any means, but I try to stay fabulous by focusing on self care and time management. My two beautiful girls are my life! and there is a "family circle" made up of friends and other family that help keep me sane and grounded. They are there for us when we need them. We are not perfect, but we are blessed.
Welcome to my Blog!
